Decatur family surprised with Holiday Home Invasion from K105

ADAMS COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A Decatur family was selected to be the recipients of the annual Holiday Home Invasion by K105.

The family, nominated by a close friend in a heartfelt letter, received a little bit of Christmas-time help through donations from community partners and the radio station’s listeners. Staff members at K105 “invaded” the family’s home in Decatur on Friday and filled their home with gifts for the three kids and household supplies.

In the letter, the friend described the family’s tough year, saying their youngest daughter, who suffers from a disability, needed special medical care in out-of-state hospitals. With medical costs and the expenses of raising two other young daughters, the friend said this family was worried about putting presents under the tree this year.

The friend’s nomination, which was one out of over 100 nominations, solidified the family as this year’s pick for K105’s Holiday Home Invasion…
