FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to New Mercies Ministries to support the nonprofit’s flagship program.
The grant will go toward New Mercies Ministries’ Hosting Ministry, which is overseen by Mindy Theard. The initiative involves recruiting volunteers to assist vulnerable families by providing meals, transportation and childcare.
According to New Mercies Ministries, the grant will allow them to continue the program with suitable resources so children do not enter foster care for “avoidable reasons.”…
