Purdue Fort Wayne license plate among new BMV designs for Hoosiers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Alumni, faculty and fans of Purdue Fort Wayne can now rep the university in the form of a license plate.

The new design is one of five new Special Group Recognition (SGR) plates being offered by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles starting this year. The extra fee for an SGR plate goes directly to the group it supports.

The PFW license plate features a Mastodon on the side and a gold banner at the bottom. According to the BMV, the design “represents Purdue’s growing impact in Indiana’s second-largest city.”…
