FORT WAYNE — PBS Fort Wayne is beginning the year with a major programming change, replacing its Explore multicast channel with the WORLD Channel and expanding access to national and international nonfiction programming for viewers in northeast Indiana.
The transition took effect at midnight on New Year’s Day, when channel 39.4 officially became WORLD. The move brings a slate of documentary, storytelling and news programs produced by PBS stations and independent filmmakers in the United States and abroad. WORLD is widely recognized within public media as a leading destination for long-form and short-form nonfiction content.
