FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Educator Jorge Fernandez announced Sunday that he will again run for Allen County Commissioner, seeking the District 3 seat in 2026.
All Allen County commissioners are elected by the entire county. Fernandez said he will seek the Democratic nomination.
Fernandez previously ran for the District 3 seat in 2022 and again in 2025. He also ran for mayor of Fort Wayne in 2023 against Mayor Tom Henry, and again in the 2024 caucus following Henry’s passing. District 3 is primarily in southwest Allen County…
