FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The Landing’s latest occupant recently held a soft opening, signaling the most recent change to a historic stretch of downtown that will see continued development across the new year.
Bittersweet — a cafe and deli operated by the group behind Penny Drip, Dana’s, Blue Bottle and Night Train — held a soft opening New Year’s Eve at 118 W. Columbia St, marking just under seven months since another coffee shop, Utopian Coffee + Kitchen, closed its doors to transition to its roasting roots.

Bittersweet serves a menu inspired by “classic New York City Jewish deli traditions,” including coffee, pastries and sandwiches served in “signature butcher paper.”
The shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m…
