First Alert Forecast: A brief break in the clouds late today… plus 50s tomorrow!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – As you head out the door early this morning, you may notice some areas of fog. Visibility may drop to 1-2 miles in some spots, especially in rural areas, but don’t worry — it won’t stick around long. The fog should mix out as the sun rises.

After that foggy start, expect a mostly cloudy FIRST half of the day. The good news? Those clouds will break apart a couple hours before sunset, giving you a brief window of sunshine to enjoy. Highs will reach 44 degrees with light southwest winds at 5-10 mph.

Thursday & Friday: Warm… with Occasional Rain

Thursday looks like a great day to get outside as the mid 50s return! Rain will hold off until late Thursday night, so your commute and daytime plans should be dry.

That rain arrives late Thursday night and continues into Friday morning with scattered showers and even a few rumbles of thunder. It’s not a washout, but you’ll want to keep an umbrella handy. Some towns could pick up close to 0.50″ of rain when all is said and done. By Friday afternoon, the rain pushes out, but temperatures will be dropping fast — from the upper 50s in the morning… down to the 40s by afternoon… and into the 30s by evening. Back to winter we go!

Weekend: Cool & Wet… then Flurries Possible

Saturday brings scattered rain with highs around 40 degrees. By Sunday, we’ll be much cooler with a high of just 30 degrees. A few flurries are possible, but nothing significant is expected…
