Anti-ICE protesters assemble in downtown Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began Thursday evening following the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis.

On Wednesday, a 37-year-old mother in Minneapolis was shot and killed while on the road. Videos of the incident instantly began circling social media, causing public outcry across the country. Protests began popping up from city to city, and citizens in Fort Wayne have decided to take part.

A digital flyer for the local protest had also been shared on multiple social media platforms, describing the nature of the protest, which includes calling, emailing, and posting online to demand that Indiana’s government leaders stop ICE…
