OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury pedestrian crash that occurred the evening of January 7 in Emerald Township, Paulding County.
According to the patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 6:36 p.m. on County Road 115 near State Route 111. A 2014 Nissan Murano, driven by Jacob Andrews, 24, of Paulding, was traveling southbound on County Road 115 at the same time a pedestrian, Larry Dix, 54, also of Paulding, was crossing the roadway from east to west.
Investigators said Dix was struck by the vehicle as he crossed the center yellow line. Authorities noted that Dix was wearing dark-colored clothing and did not have reflective material at the time of the crash…
