FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO)— A Fort Wayne woman and several associates are facing felony charges following an investigation into the theft of nearly $3,000 worth of liquor from a local store.
Court records say 34-year-old Courtney Clawson and multiple accomplices stole alcohol from the Cap n’ Cork on Coliseum Boulevard using a coordinated checkout scheme. Investigators allege Clawson scanned small, airplane-sized bottles at the register while placing larger, higher-priced bottles into bags without paying for them.
