FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) says it is ready to tackle potential power outages as frigid temperatures and possible snowfall hit the area this holiday weekend. The company has worked to strengthen the local electrical system with smart technology, upgraded power poles, and tree trimming to prevent outages.
Outages have decreased by nearly 50% over the past five years, I&M reported.
