FORT WAYNE, IND. (WOWO) The Allen County High-Tech Crime Unit has relocated from downtown Fort Wayne to the campus of Purdue University Fort Wayne.
The investigative support unit was created four years ago to provide neutral and objective analysis and processing of digital evidence in criminal cases. It operates under the administration of the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and serves nine counties in northeast Indiana, including Allen, Adams, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells, and Whitley.
The unit is now housed in the Support Services Building on the Purdue Fort Wayne campus, directly adjacent to the university’s police department. Preparations for the move included upgrades to the space, which began during the latter part of the fall semester…
