Historically significant Fort Wayne church awarded thousands for restoration

(WANE) — A Fort Wayne church was among several historical buildings throughout the state that were awarded thousands in grant money for restoration and preservation by Indiana Landmarks.

Over the course of 2025, Indiana Landmarks has awarded a total of $3,226,856 to local non-profits and cities with the goal of restoring and saving meaningful and historically significant places around the state. These funds are intended to assist in supporting churches, libraries, museums, and more to preserve historical landmarks.

Many of these older buildings require architectural and structural assessments and repairs, and many sites are in need of programs, workshops, videos, and digital walking tours to preserve their history and heritage…
