Fort Wayne businesses closed in solidarity with ‘ICE out’ day of action

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Several businesses in the Fort Wayne area closed their doors on Friday in solidarity with the “ICE Out” day of action with anti-ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) protesters in Minneapolis and Minnesota.

The protest comes after the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both of whom were shot and killed during separate encounters with federal immigration agents in Minneapolis.

On the front doors of these businesses are signs signaling to customers that their store is not open. Local vegan and gluten-free bakery Good Bread was one of those businesses…
