INDIANA — An inmate died Tuesday morning at the Huntington County Jail, prompting an investigation led by the Indiana State Police.
According to a press release from Indiana State Police, jail staff conducted a routine check on the inmate and found them unresponsive in their cell shortly after 7 a.m., approximately 24 minutes after the previous check. Staff attempted life-saving measures, but the inmate was pronounced dead.
State police said foul play is not suspected at this time. Additional details surrounding the inmate’s death have not been released…
