Warrant issued for Fort Wayne man accused of raping coworker with ‘special needs’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A 25-year-old Fort Wayne man is wanted for allegedly raping his coworker with “special needs” at a local fast food business in 2024.

Yandri Jose Torres Veliz is charged with one count of rape. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Wednesday.

The victim, an adult described as having the mental capacity of a preteen, told police Torres Veliz asked her for a sexual favor ahead of the assault, according to court records obtained by 21Investigates. She told him, “No.”…
