Fort Wayne woman bombarded with threatening, fraudulent messages

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — One local woman, Angie Sturm, was going about a normal day at work until she received frightening messages, including death threats.

“All of a sudden, I just get this random text message from a random number that I don’t know, starting off with my address, not all of my family, but five of my close family members,” she said. “Followed by paragraphs of this gentleman saying he’s from the cartel that I owe him all of this money, or from somebody that I know owes him money. If I don’t pay him this money for this escort service, I’m gonna die, and my family members are going to die.”

Sturm then attempted to ignore those messages until she was called three times from that same number, with the same threats…
