Multi-family home in Waynedale heavily damaged by fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department extinguished flames at a multi-family home in Waynedale Monday afternoon.

The FWFD responded shortly after 2:15 p.m. to a house off Lower Huntington Road in the 6000 block of Bradbury Avenue that is comprised of three apartments.

Jonathan Flickinger, assistant chief of the FWFD, confirmed no one was injured as there was nobody home at the time of the fire and there were no known pets inside. When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames on the front and left side of the two-story building.

The flames were under control in about half an hour, and according to the report shared later that afternoon, the home was heavily damaged…
