FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — “I’ve got an all in budget of about $250,000. I’ve been told by a lot of people that’s crazy, but if you’ve ever met me or know me, you know I know how to squeeze every penny out of a nickel.”
That was Mike Ackels’ response when WANE 15 asked him about his latest project.
The owner of Allen County’s 469 Cycle Shop fashions himself as “the smartest hillbilly you ever met.” But beyond that, he has a passion for Fort Wayne’s homeless population.
