State bill proposes harsher punishment for animal abuse

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Indiana lawmakers are considering a new bill that would make punishment for animal abuse more severe.

The authors of H.B. 1165 want to change animal abuse from a misdemeanor to a level six felony, or in some cases, a level five.
