Rescue Mission addresses misconceptions at City Council, urges low barrier shelter

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Tuesday’s Fort Wayne City Council meeting didn’t start with voting or discussion on the hundreds of thousands of dollars being introduced on the agenda.

“Through the power of Jesus Christ, we want to provide a home, we want to provide food and we want to provide hope,” said Thomas McArthur, Fort Wayne Rescue Mission CEO and President.

McArthur began the meeting with a presentation on the Rescue Mission and homelessness.
