Fort Wayne man sentenced for role in 2022 homicide

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man found guilty of his role in a 2022 homicide learned his sentence Friday.

Michael Barker, 45, was handed 65 years in prison.

Barker is one of two men connected to the killing of 63-year-old William J. Kintzel, a South Whitley man whose body was found four days after his April 2022 death in Fort Wayne. According to Allen Superior Court documents, he had been battered with a gun and then shot several times in the chest.
