FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Nearly eight decades after opening, owners of a downtown Fort Wayne magic shop continue to serve customers with what they call “funny, goofy crap.”
Dick Stoner and his parents, Albert and Lynda Stoner, opened Stoner’s Magic Shop in 1949 at the corner of Main and Harrison Streets. Today, the family business remains in its original location, now expanded beyond the single room it started in.
Dick Stoner’s grandson, Colin Haines, works at the store while attending college and serving as president of the Fort Wayne Magicians Club. He said magic has been part of his life since childhood…
