18-year-old Fort Wayne woman allegedly pepper sprayed restaurant owner after dine-and-dash before armed robbery arrest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A Fort Wayne woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she was caught with stolen merchandise following an investigation into a dine-and-dash incident weeks earlier.

According to a release from the Fort Wayne Police Department, around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, officers were called to the Khai’s Fusion restaurant, located at 2823 E. State Blvd. on the northeast side of Fort Wayne, on a report of an armed robbery.

Police say a woman had ordered a meal and then left without paying. When the woman was confronted by the owner of the restaurant, she allegedly pepper sprayed the owner before fleeing the scene…
