I-69 northbound reopens after closure in Huntington, Allen Counties

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)— I-69 northbound reopened after all lanes of the interstate were closed Sunday night due to a crash in northern Huntington County.

An approximately 10-mile stretch of I-69 north was shut down between U.S. 224 (Exit 286) and I-469 (Exit 296) around 9:30 p.m. As of 10:30 p.m., Huntington County Central Dispatch confirmed the roadway was back open. The crash, causing the closure, happened at the 291-mile marker. That’s about three miles north of Markle.

The Huntington County Sheriff’s Department advised motorists to seek an alternate route and expect delays in the area. The department advised drivers to use caution and follow all posted detours and directions from emergency personnel on scene…
