FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — “Kids are getting them from Amazon. Technology has made these bikes fast and cheap.”
That is the reason 6th District Councilman Scott Myers gave for introducing a set of ordinances that will change how Fort Wayne governs electric bikes, or E-Bicycles, and other powered vehicles.
“I want to give credit to Andy Downs and the Mayor’s office, who spent a lot of time researching other communities so we don’t in effect reinvent the wheel,” Myers said. “This is just about keeping the community safe.”…
