FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A local Chick-fil-A employee was surprised Thursday with $25,000 to support her educational journey.
Precious Luna balances her workload as a manager at the Jefferson Pointe restaurant with pursuing a psychology degree at Ivy Tech Community College. Luna, a first-generation college student, even put her education on hold at one point to support her family. She’s now in her second year at Ivy Tech, and the scholarship will ease a financial burden so she can focus on her academic pursuits.
