FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne teen pleaded guilty to attempted murder in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old and is being charged as an adult.
Chandrai Suttle, 16, pleaded guilty to attempted murder on Monday in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old on Oliver Street in May 2025.
Suttle’s plea deal will drop the initial battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon charges, and sentence him to serve 20 years in prison.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, the child was inside the home at the time of the shooting and suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The gunfire came from outside the home. The child was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition…
