COLUMBIA CITY – A Columbia City man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
David Howard Ernst, 58, 1285 W. Sheckler Road, Columbia City, is charged with two counts of domestic battery with a prior conviction, both level 5 felonies.
On Feb. 18, Whitley County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Ernst, who said he was lying in bed when a woman started hitting him. He told police when he turned over, he apparently hit the woman…
