Tornado threat looms over Fort Wayne area as storms approach

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – Northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio could see severe weather overnight and into the next day, with an elevated tornado threat near Fort Wayne and widespread thunderstorms across the region.

Storm Team 55 forecast images place the Fort Wayne area in a TOR:CON 5 zone for tonight. The zone sits within a broader corridor of tornado risk stretching from Missouri and Illinois into northern Indiana and Ohio.
