Indiana – Crisp air sits over Fort Wayne this morning as sunlight hits quiet streets and frozen lawns. That calm start will shift quickly. Strong winds, rain, and a late-weekend snow change are building across northern Indiana.

According to the National Weather Service office serving northern Indiana, a High Wind Watch begins early Friday and continues through the evening. Winds will increase steadily across Allen County and much of northern Indiana. Gusts could approach 45 mph, especially across open stretches of Interstate 69, Interstate 469, and U.S. Route 30
