FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Wind gusts of 40 to 60 miles per hour downed trees, knocked out power for thousands of residents, and caused car crashes across Fort Wayne on Friday.
On Glenwood Drive, a downed tree took out a power line and damaged a backyard shed belonging to Marcus Benjamin, a boxing coach in Fort Wayne.
“I heard a big crash and I found that this tree fell down on my shed, where all my equipment for my camp is on,” Benjamin said.
Despite the damage to his property, Benjamin said his first concern was his neighbors…
