FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A major road project is set to being Monday on one of Fort Wayne’s busiest roads and much of it isn’t expected to be completed until November.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Friday that on March 16, crews will begin working on Coliseum Boulevard, also known as State Road 930, between I-69 to the west and East Washington Boulevard to the east.
Construction crews will begin with a bridge deck overlay on the S.R. 930 bridge over the Maumee River on or after March 16. During construction, drivers can expect intermittent lane closures in each direction of S.R. 930 in this area. Work on the bridge is expected to be complete by the end of November.
Construction crews will complete structure replacements, curb work and resurfacing work in segments of S.R. 930 during the project. Most work will be completed during nighttime hours.
