Northern Indiana–Southwest Michigan Weather Alert: Damaging 55 mph Winds Today Near Fort Wayne and South Bend

Indiana – Flags snap sharply above downtown Fort Wayne this morning as a strong spring storm system charges across the Midwest. Warm air pushes temperatures toward 70°F today, but powerful winds will quickly become the bigger concern across northern Indiana.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, a Wind Advisory begins at 11 a.m. and continues through late tonight for Allen County and much of northern Indiana. South winds will strengthen to 25–35 mph with gusts between 45 and 55 mph, strong enough to toss loose objects and snap small tree limbs.
