Culver’s moving into former Wendy’s on Fort Wayne’s south side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Residents on Fort Wayne’s south side will be closer to ButterBurgers and frozen custard when a Wisconsin-based fast food chain sets up shop.

Culver’s is expanding its presence in the Summit City with a location being built in Southtown Centre off U.S. 27/Lafayette Street.

S & L Companies is the current owner of the lot at 7557 Southtown Crossing, where Wendy’s used to be. Thursday, a representative told WANE 15 they are still in the permit process and are hoping to open the restaurant this year.

The 4,555-square-foot space is estimated to be built by April 24 following a $2.45 million project…
