Warriors Fly by Pilots for Fourth Straight Win

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The #8 Indiana Tech women’s lacrosse team won their fourth straight game on Saturday morning after defeating Bethel University 18-5 on the road.

The Warriors would get off to a flying start with four goals between the 12:15 and 10:02 mark of the first quarter, propelling them to a 7-2 lead through one period of play. Tech would extend their lead to eight by halftime, only allowing four goals in the first half. The Tech defense would just get stronger in the second half, allowing just one goal in the third quarter and posting a shutout in the fourth. The Warriors would close out the game with a five goal fourth quarter, thanks to a hattrick from Lilliana Rivera and a pair of goals by Brook Maul. The senior from Munster, Indiana would stuff the stat sheet against the Pilots as Maul would lead the Warriors in goals (four), points (five), ground balls (two), and caused turnovers (two). Rivera finished the game with four points and two draw controls, while Lauren Hainlin had three goals, two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and two draw controls.
