Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, a fourth-generation family business and one of the top egg producers in the U.S., celebrated its new egg processing plant in Kendallville, Ind., which will begin processing eggs this month.
Company officials and local leaders gathered at the site March 12 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the conclusion of construction on the 75,000-square-foot plant on Weston Avenue. The plant will process about 420 million local, farm fresh eggs annually for distribution directly to customers.
“Our Kendallville plant will have a positive impact on the community through our company’s investment, the jobs we’re creating and our commitment to community involvement,” said Stephanie Kempa, chief human resources officer at Herbruck’s. “We are grateful to the city of Kendallville and state of Indiana for welcoming Herbruck’s to the community and look forward to an amazing partnership for the benefit of the entire region.”…
