PFW: You will pay for high diesel prices, one way or another

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — While most drivers do not use diesel gas, one Fort Wayne economist believes they should still pay attention, as consumers will foot the bill in other ways.

As of Monday, Indiana’s average diesel price hovers at $5.005, according to AAA. While that average is only up eight cents from last week, it has climbed $1.18 from last month’s average diesel price of $3.827.

Most of the goods people use daily would not be in their hands if it were not for diesel fuel. Companies truck and train everything, from the food we eat to the chairs we sit on to the device you are reading this article on right now…
