Driver hits high water, crashes into trees in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A driver was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after crashing as a result of high water on a roadway according to a press release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was going north on County Road 35 just after 10:30 p.m. when his SUV hit water flowing across the pavement as a result of the heavy rains in the area. The water caused the SUV to hydroplane, and as a result, it went off the west side of the road where it hit several trees.

The driver complained of pain all over and was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment…
