Donations save Fort Wayne foster care charity from closure

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A local charity that supports children in foster care will remain open after donations surged following a plea for help.

Fostering Hope for Children was $12,000 behind on rent and facing closure. After the founder’s appeal aired on 21Alive News last week, the community responded with enough donations to pay off the back rent. One couple pledged to cover the charity’s expenses for the next eight months.
