Veterans National Memorial Shrine and Museum reopens with new exhibits

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Friday, the Veterans National Memorial Shrine and Museum opened its doors to the public for the first time since completing months of renovations.

The museum, just outside Fort Wayne city limits, had been closed since December to reorganize and take inventory of its extensive collection. From weapons to military vehicles and uniforms, the thousands of artifacts highlight each war the United States has been involved in, according to the website.

The updated W. Paul Wolf War History Museum now features new exhibits, displays and updated artifacts. The photos below show a glimpse of what visitors will find:

The museum can be found at 2122 O Day Road, near the intersection with Yellow River Road. While the shrine’s grounds are open 24/7, the museum is open Fridays through Mondays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free…
