Working Smoke Detectors Saves Sleeping Family

Liberty Township — A family, including two children, safely escaped a mobile home fire Saturday morning after working smoke detectors alerted them to danger in time to get out.

According to fire officials, crews were dispatched at approximately 9:35 a.m. on April 4 to the 100 block of Leslie Way in the Forest Oaks Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, firefighters observed light smoke coming from the residence.
