FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Today will continue to feel noticeably cooler as high temperatures settle into the low to mid 60s with clearing skies. Winds will remain gusty this afternoon at about 25mph. A few overnight showers are possible heading into Wednesday morning before conditions dry out closer to lunchtime tomorrow. From there, we’re looking at a dry stretch through at least the weekend.
Frost and Freeze Threat
Heading towards the end of the week temperatures are going to drop, with highs in the 50s. The big story will be towards the end of the week as temperatures drop overnight with lows falling into the 30s. Both frost and a freeze are possible heading into the weekend. Right now, the coldest morning looks to be Friday night into Saturday morning. Remember, the rule of thumb is to not plant outside until Mother’s Day, if you planted early, remember to cover your plants, bring them inside, and give them extra water, so the cold doesn’t kill them early…
