WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) – Indiana State Police (ISP) says the Whitley County Coroner’s Office has completed its investigation into a 2025 police chase turned shootout that resulted in the death of a 38-year-old man.
ISP says 38-year-old Christifer DeBus of Fort Wayne led officers on a pursuit on April 20, 2025, after he was found to be a suspect in the homicide of Jeremiah Donald Lothamer.
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Indiana State Police, and the Allen County and Whitley County Sheriff’s Departments eventually joined the pursuit as it crossed into Columbia City…
