Police presence converges on Jamaican restaurant on Main Street

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Several police officers are investigating at a restaurant on Main Street just west of downtown Fort Wayne Thursday afternoon.

Multiple police vehicles were spotted outside Pepper & Spice Jamaican Restaurant, which is attached to a gas station on Main Street near the former location of Junk Ditch Brewing Company.

One of the doors to the restaurant’s entrance appeared to have been removed, but it is unclear what officers are investigating.

A public information officer with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) told WANE 15 the officers were serving a warrant related to an ongoing investigation, and an officer at the scene told a WANE 15 crew that one person was arrested regarding a fentanyl investigation.
