Southlake police stopped an in-progress forgery at a bank after staff notified them about suspicious activity, officials said in a Facebook post.
Keith Gilbert, 60, was detained and later arrested after police say he tried to withdraw $8,000 from the bank using fake information, according to the post. Further investigation found that Gilbert had already attempted to withdraw $12,000 from another bank earlier in the day.
Police also uncovered information related to more than 27 potential victims, some of them elderly, as well as other fraud-related materials and narcotics, over the course of their investigation, officials said…
