Hudson House opened the doors to its new Southlake location Monday, filling a roughly 5,000-square-foot suite at 1131 E. Southlake Blvd. that sat empty after RA Sushi departed the Park Village shopping center. The East Coast-inspired seafood and cocktail concept brings a raw bar, burgers, sushi and a chilled-to-the-extreme martini to a stretch of Southlake Boulevard that has seen plenty of turnover this year.
The Southlake spot sits next to Gloria’s Latin Cuisine inside Park Village, according to Community Impact, which reported the opening timestamped at 1:53 p.m. Monday. The restaurant’s menu leans on items like sushi, burgers and raw bar selections, including oysters flown in daily from the East Coast, the outlet’s earlier reporting noted. Hudson House’s signature offering, the World’s Coldest Martini, is built on chilled Grey Goose vodka, per the same report.
A Long-Delayed Debut for Park Village
The Southlake project was first announced back in October 2025 with a summer 2026 target, then rescheduled for September 11 before ultimately landing on Monday’s opening date, according to CultureMap Fort Worth. The slippage followed months of extensive interior demolition inside the former RA Sushi space. Southlake Mayor Shawn McCaskill acknowledged in July that the venue had been completely gutted for buildout, as reported by Bray Real Estate Group.
Hudson House wasn’t the only high-profile Southlake dining debut to slip past its original timeline this year. The outlet’s reporting places it alongside Ascension Coffee in Town Square and the Wonder food hall on West Southlake Boulevard as three major 2026 projects that missed initial mid-year target windows due to construction or permitting delays.
