River Oaks police arrest two following hit-and-run, gunfire

River Oaks police have two men locked up because of a hit-and-run that ended in gunfire Monday.

River Oaks Police say they got a 9-1-1 call about shots fired near Churchill Road and Barbara Road. The vehicle described by the caller had already taken off but it was soon found by police who pulled it over and arrested the driver and one of the passengers.

The yet-to-be-identified driver is now up on one count of unlawfully carrying a firearm plus some drug charges. The unidentified passenger was also charged with unlawfully carrying a firearm plus one count of disorderly conduct.

Police say there could be additional charges coming. A second passenger was released.
