Fort Worth’s Sycamore Park Set for $1.5 Million TPWD-Backed Makeover, Aiming for 2026 Completion

Fort Worth’s green spaces are about to get a major upgrade, thanks to a hefty chunk of change from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Sycamore Park is set for a transformation that’ll turn the old golf course into a sprawling, nature-based recreation area – to the tune of $1.5 million. The grant is part of TPWD’s Local Park Grant Program and will dovetail with an additional $4 million in local funding to kick the project into high gear, according to the City of Fort Worth.
