After 13 years of service, Fort Worth’s official spokespup for homeless animal awareness, Henry, is retiring

FORT WORTH, Texas – A very impactful career for a North Texas canine is coming to a close. After 13 years as Fort Worth’s official spokespup and recognizable face of the Fort Worth Animal Shelter, Henry is retiring, according to city officials. Henry’s story with the Fort Worth Animal Shelter began in 2011, when he was brought to the Chuck and Brenda Silcox Animal Shelter in poor physical health. The staff at the shelter dedicated themselves to Henry’s recovery, and over time, with tender loving care, he underwent a remarkable transformation.
